Best weapons ranked from S to D tier — updated with tested data after launch.

Is there a tier list yet? Not a real one — and that's the honest answer.
The game is hours old. Any “S-tier weapon” ranking you see today is a guess, not tested data — community sites don't have enough runs to average yet. Two things also make Raiders resist a simple tier list:
- It's a looter-shooter. Weapons are loot with 1–5 star rarity and random passive abilities, so the same weapon type varies run to run — you rank rolls, not just weapons.
- There's no competitive PvP meta driving it, and Nintendo has said the three tanks are balanced by design — so “best” depends on your build and playstyle more than a fixed ladder.
We'd rather leave this honest than post a fake ranking to grab clicks. Below is the scale we'll use once we have real tested data.
How We'll Rank
Once we have enough hands-on runs, we'll rank weapons on:
- Effective damage against real enemy waves, not paper DPS
- Ink efficiency and paint coverage speed
- How well the base weapon performs before rarity rolls
- Versatility across raid types (exploration, den-dive, time attack)
- Synergy with tank gadgets and Relic Powers

Overpowered
Best-in-slot weapons that dominate in most scenarios.
Strong
Reliable picks that perform well across most content.
Good
Solid options with some situational advantages.
Average
Usable but outperformed by higher-tier alternatives.
Weak
Underperforming — may improve with patches or niche use.
