S-Tier Weapons: Every Individual Weapon Ranked

Which of the 60 weapons are actually top tier, cross-checked between the two Japanese databases that rank them one by one, refreshed 2026-08-06.

English wikis still rank weapon types: Game8 EN's tier list (as of 2026-08-03) grades the 11 classes SS to C and stops there. The Japanese databases have moved on to ranking individual weapons, and this page cross-checks the two of them: Game8 JP's ranking (updated 2026-08-06, all 60 base weapons) against GameWith JP's (updated 2026-08-05). Both rank base weapons; the Primo (絶品) variant of each is the same weapon pushed further, so we treat it as inheriting the base weapon's grade.

This page ranks individual weapons. For the type-level rankings that explain the class meta, see the weapon tier list; for stats, rarity and the verified JP–EN name table behind every name on this page, see the weapon database.

Which Weapons Are S-Tier Right Now?

Six weapons reach the top band of at least one database. Three of them sit at the very top of both lists; for the other three, each source's grade is printed exactly as published.

WeaponTypeGame8GameWithWhat the sources say
Thermal Brella (シートシェルターサーモ)BrellaXSSTop of both lists. Game8's X-tier note is Ice Breaker synergy: it deletes large Salmonids fast, and a large Brella's pellets land together, so the whole burst cashes in the multiplier.
Alpine Stringer (アルペンストリンガー)StringerXSSThe second full-consensus pick: a charged multi-arrow burst with the same all-pellets-at-once Ice Breaker payoff, at range.
Butane Blaster (プロパンブラスター)BlasterXSSThe third weapon both lists put on top, and also the Blaster-class pick our type tier list already names.
Toy-Shark Blaster (トイブラスターシャーク)BlasterS+SSGameWith puts it in the top tier; Game8 has it one band below its X trio, the same one-band gap as the Rail Splatana, but without GameWith's first-place billing, so we file it as near-consensus rather than a split. Our database lists it as the fire-rate spec of the long-range Blaster family.
Rail Splatana (レールワイパー)SplatanaS+SSGameWith lists it first overall; Game8 keeps it in S+. The first of the two splits detailed below.
High-Octane 4K (ハイオク4K)ChargerB+SSThe biggest disagreement on the page: top tier on one list, sixth band on the other. Deep-floor context below.

Both databases wrote essentially the same sentence over their top band. Game8, on its X tier: 「冷凍カチワリ」との相性が非常によく, meaning exceptional compatibility with Ice Breaker, letting these weapons take down large Salmonids quickly. GameWith, on its SS tier: 一発あたりのダメージが高いため冷凍カチワリと相性が良く、無限食堂の高難易度ステージで活躍, meaning high per-hit damage pairs with Ice Breaker and carries the Bottomless Buffet's hardest stages. Two independent editorial teams, one meta.

How Does Game8 Rank All 60 Weapons?

Game8 JP's full individual ranking, X down to C, as published 2026-08-06. English names come from our verified 60-row JP–EN weapon database; the Japanese name in parentheses is what the source prints. Order within a tier follows the source.

GameWith's list (updated 2026-08-05) puts six weapons at SS, the consensus table above, and fifteen at S: Wooden Splatana (ウッドワイパー) · Plastic Splatana (プラワイパー) · Engine Roller (エンジンローラー) · Tarp Brella (シートシェルターブルー) · Food-Stall Brella (シートシェルターヤタイ) · Oil Blaster (アブラブラスター) · Steam Blaster (スチームブラスター) · Plastic-Bottle Splattershot (PETシューター) · Soap-Bottle Splattershot (クリーンシューター) · Glass-Bottle Splattershot (トニックシューター) · Fruit Brella (フルーツシェルター) · Palm Brella (パームシェルター) · Flower Brella (フラワーシェルター) · Toy-Claw Blaster (トイブラスターハンド) · Toy-Horn Blaster (トイブラスターラッパ). The GameWith page continues below S, but we did not capture those rows, so they are not reproduced here.

One point of total agreement sits at the bottom: brushes. Game8 places all three, Touring Brush, Pulley Brush and Cycle Brush, alone in C tier, and no brush appears in GameWith's SS or S. That matches our type tier list, where Brushes are the only C-tier class: rapid light hits are the exact opposite of what this meta pays for.

Where Do the Databases Disagree?

Two weapons split the sources at the top band. They are not the only gaps in the tables above: Palm Brella and Flower Brella sit at GameWith S against Game8 B+, a wider gap than the Rail Splatana split, but these two are the disagreements about the very top. As everywhere on this site, we print both grades and the context; we do not pick a winner.

Rail Splatana (レールワイパー)

Game8
S+
GameWith
SS, listed first

GameWith opens its top tier with the Rail Splatana; Game8 keeps it one band under its three-weapon X tier. Neither write-up explains the gap directly. Game8's X rationale is Ice Breaker synergy, which the Rail Splatana's charged slash also has. The disagreement is not about whether it is strong, but whether it belongs with the very best.

High-Octane 4K (ハイオク4K)

Game8
B+
GameWith
SS

The widest split on the page: GameWith's top tier against Game8's B+. The deep-floor evidence leans GameWith's way: the deepest Bottomless Buffet run we have seen attested (floor 802, bilibili video BV1t1uE6oELK, 2026-08-05) was played on a High-Octane 4K, and a Taiwanese climber on the Bahamut forum reports a freeze-charger build at floor 550. Game8 grades across general content, where a Charger's charge time is a real cost, and its own type tier list makes the same charge-time complaint. Both reads can be right about different content.

Why Do One-Hit Weapons Dominate?

The top of both lists is single-hit weapons because of one Weapon Power: Ice Breaker (冷凍カチワリ) multiplies your next hit on a frozen enemy, then consumes the freeze. The in-game text says 3x, rising to 4x at ★2; Japanese wikis routinely quote "3–5x", and as on our builds page we flag that gap rather than inherit it. One freeze, one multiplied hit, so the weapon's job is to make that single hit enormous, which is exactly what Brellas, Stringers, Blasters and Splatanas do. GameWith's separate weapon-power ranking (updated 2026-08-05) says the same thing from the other side: its S tier holds exactly two powers, Ice Breaker and Close Combat (インファイト).

The power-by-power breakdown is in the Weapon Powers guide, and the gadget-and-relic setup that turns one freeze into a rotation is in the builds guide.
