Fighting a Salmonid horde in Splatoon Raiders

Is Splatoon Raiders a speedgame?

The speedrun.com board for Splatoon Raiders was created on 2026-06-14, more than five weeks before the game came out. By 2026-09-06 it held 1,305 verified runs from 266 runners. The first solo Any% times were about six and a half hours on release day. The current record is 2:18:27, set by the Japanese runner Haitex on 2026-08-25 and verified two days later. Ethan Stone's English explainer of 2026-08-12 covers mikandao's 2:54 run of 07-31. Japanese uploads use the RTA label and put the difficulty in the title.

This page is a dated snapshot. speedrun.com is the authority for placements. The tables identify the board behind each number, its difficulty and player count, and whether a run is verified. All figures come from the speedrun.com API on 2026-09-06 and are limited to verified runs. Run counts are verified runs, which is more than the ranked board displays: speedrun.com lists only each player's or team's best run in a category and hides the rest.

Solo Any% (Tourist) leaderboard, as of 2026-09-06

Any% means beat the story from a new file, timed from selecting "Love It!" on the character-select screen to the loading icon after the Salmonarch falls. Tourist is the lowest difficulty and, unsurprisingly, the fastest board; the same category exists for Raider and Survivalist and for two, three and four players. Thirty-four runners have a verified solo Tourist time across 102 verified runs. The top four are Japanese; the fastest runner outside Japan, LonTr0 of Canada, is fifth.

Two runs verified on 2026-09-05 reordered the board without touching the record. Haitex now leads second place by 2 minutes 2 seconds, down from 5 minutes 32 seconds, and nemuto has dropped to eleventh at 2:28:58. Places three to seven are separated by 55 seconds. Every current top-ten time is still faster than the 2:30:18 that ranked second on 2026-08-18.

How the record fell: 6:34 to 2:18 in 34 days

Every verified run that was the fastest at the time it was set, in the solo Tourist category. Dates are the run dates on speedrun.com. Several early runs were only submitted on 08-12, so the board looked thinner in July than it actually was.

The solo record is unchanged at 2:18:27, twelve days after Haitex set it. The two-player record moved twice off the same day of running: LonTr0 and Dee_G ran 2:44:03 and 2:37:05 on 2026-09-03, the slower one was verified on 09-04 and the faster on 09-05, so the 2:44:03 held the record for one day and is now hidden from the ranked board as a superseded run. Both four-player runs from 09-02 remain verified, with LonTr0, Dee_G, Roylouk and LPhantom first at 3:14:05 and Haitex, taro192168_, R_ayu and Motoro second at 3:16:42.

Every category on the board

Full-game runs are split by category, then by player count (1P to 4P) and, for Any%, by difficulty. Individual-level boards exist for 118 levels, each split by heat (Raid, Spicy, Super Spicy). Rules are quoted from speedrun.com. Run counts on this page are VERIFIED RUNS at our sweep, which is more than the ranked board shows: speedrun.com lists only each player's or team's best run in a category and hides the rest, so a board with ten verified runs can display seven rows. The board's level-type names differ from the ones on our dungeon page, so both are given.

Gold Club (floor 100), individual level2:25 solo, 14bravery, 2026-09-02The only board where the same content is run at more than one player count, and the clearest thing on this page: solo 2:25, 3P 2:49 by mororin, mpi_ch and tatsu_ya, 4P 2:59 by those three plus 14bravery, who also holds the solo time. 2P has no run. Adding players makes the fight slower, and the 4P team gives the reason in their own video description: the Power Egg requirement rises with the number of players.

How the timing and video rules work

Quoted or closely paraphrased from the board. Read the current rule text on speedrun.com before submitting; this is the state on 2026-09-06.

  • ·Any% is real time from selecting "Love It!" on the character-select screen to the loading icon after the Salmonarch is defeated. No milliseconds are shown and there is no in-game timer for full runs.
  • ·Any% video thresholds: a solo Tourist run under 4:00:00 needs video with clearly audible game audio, and 2P to 4P runs under 5:00:00. Raider: 4:30:00 solo, 5:30:00 multiplayer. Survivalist: 6:00:00 solo, 7:00:00 multiplayer. Slower runs can be submitted without video, but every run is verified by a moderator before it appears.
  • ·Multiplayer world records need video from every player, not just one.
  • ·NG+ and most full-run Category Extension submissions need permanent video. Max Loot and the 2.0x Crystal level boards require video for world records, including ties. Top-five placements require audible game audio where the category rule says so.
  • ·Individual levels are timed by the in-game timer on the level's result screen; in multiplayer only the player who touches the goal needs video.
  • ·Difficulty is a sub-board, not a modifier: a Raider run and a Tourist run never compete against each other.
  • ·Emulators are not allowed. Bottomless Buffet floors 101 and beyond are excluded from every category.

Reading the Japanese scene

Most of the top times are Japanese, and so is the vocabulary. Runs are labelled RTA (real time attack) rather than "speedrun", the difficulty appears in the title by its Japanese name (トラベラー for Tourist, レイダー for Raider, サバイバー for Survivalist), and a former world record is marked FWR after it falls, as Haitex did with his 2:27:15 upload. If you are searching YouTube for the current state of the run, "レイダース RTA トラベラー" finds far more than "Splatoon Raiders speedrun".

The English-language scene is smaller but organised: every co-op record is a Western team, and Ethan Stone, whose explainer put the run in front of English viewers, is himself on the board at 2:42:29. The two communities are visibly reading each other. mikandao's 07-31 run is the one the explainer breaks down, and Dee_G went from 2:58:47 on 08-02 to 2:27:33 on 08-26. LonTr0, now the fastest runner outside Japan, is fifth overall at 2:24:30.

Speedrun FAQ

What is the Splatoon Raiders speedrun world record?

2:18:27 for Any% on Tourist difficulty, solo, by Haitex (Japan), run on 2026-08-25 and verified on speedrun.com two days later. Other boards have their own records: 2P Any% is 2:37:05, 4P Any% is 3:14:05, Raider-difficulty solo is 2:34:06, and NG+ Bottomless Buffet floors 1 to 99 is 1:27:21.

How long is a Splatoon Raiders speedrun?

A record-pace solo Any% run on Tourist is about two hours eighteen minutes; most of the board sits between two and a half and three and a half hours. A normal story playthrough is usually quoted at 10 to 20 hours depending on how much you clear (see our FAQ), so the run is roughly a tenth of a first playthrough.

Which difficulty is used for speedruns?

Any of the three, but as separate boards. Tourist is where nearly all the runs and every headline time are, because lower enemy health and damage make it the fastest. Raider has five verified solo runs and Survivalist two, and Haitex holds both records.

Can you speedrun Splatoon Raiders in co-op?

Yes. Any% has 2P, 3P and 4P sub-boards on every difficulty. Tourist records are 2:37:05 for 2P, 3:17:44 for 3P and 3:14:05 for 4P. World-record multiplayer runs need video from every player. Expect co-op to be slower than solo, not faster: see the next question.

Why is the four-player record slower than the solo record?

Because the Power Egg requirement rises with the number of players, so a bigger team has more to collect rather than the same amount split four ways. The four-player team who set the Gold Club time attack say exactly that in their video description. You can check it on one board: the Gold Club, floor 100, is the only level with records at more than one player count, and it goes 2:25 solo, 2:49 for three players and 2:59 for four, with 14bravery on both the solo record and the four-player team. On the full run the gap is wider, because the whole game is scaled that way: 4P Any% at 3:14:05 is 55 minutes 38 seconds behind the solo 2:18:27.

Where do I submit a run?

Use speedrun.com/Raiders for the main categories and speedrun.com/RaidersCE for Boss Rush, arcade, loot and challenge categories. Every run is verified by a moderator before it appears; the video rules are listed above.

Is there a Bottomless Buffet speedrun?

Floors 1 to 99 plus the Gold Club are an NG+ sub-board (record 1:27:21). Floors 101 and beyond are excluded from every category. That is a depth race rather than a timed one, and it is covered on our deep-floors page.
