Bottomless Buffet Deep Floors: World Records & Deep-Climb Builds

As of 2026-09-06 the floor-1000 clear count is still three. B2 has reached floor 986 with a blaster, おまめ 962 with another, WispariaN 958 outside Japan, and MistRain is stalled at 950 with an Engine Roller. Every row names its evidence.

The Bottomless Buffet does not stop at Lord Saltimatum. Past floor 100 the dungeon keeps generating floors, stages go random, and the game records a high score per build. The unlock, the underground rules and the floor-100 fight are covered in our Bottomless Buffet guide, and this page picks up where it ends. The honest problem with floors 100+ is that no licensed outlet has published guide coverage of them. The closest is two outlets relaying a single Reddit depth claim, so "what does a floor-500 build look like?" has no citable answer: only scattered community reports in three languages.

So we swept all of them. Japanese streamers, wiki staff and the YouTube run channels, the simplified-Chinese community on bilibili (which calls the mode 无限食堂, climbing it 爬塔 and the freeze build 破冰流, all fan terms rather than official ones), the traditional-Chinese community on Bahamut, and the English community on Reddit. Nobody else aggregates these. Every row below is community-reported and labeled with the kind of evidence behind it; nothing is rounded up.

How Deep Have Players Actually Gotten?

Deepest first. "Video" means a full run or clear video exists; "secondhand" means someone reported seeing it, with no media we could check.

1000 (cleared)新月 (Shingetsu, @shingetsu0210)YouTube live (JP) · 2026-08-20Charger (per Kotaku's reading of the footage)Live streamThe first documented clear of floor 1000, and for four days the only one. The archived stream ran 10:02 to 12:27 JST on 2026-08-20; viewers timestamp the successful attempt at 2:11:25, which puts it at roughly 12:14 JST, and the broadcast ends thirteen minutes later. He had reached floor 1000 the previous evening, at 3:10:30 into the 08-19 stream, and spent three broadcasts attempting it: the evening stream is described as "I drew a room where there is a chance of winning at floor 1000", and the morning one simply as "racking up attempts". Two details reported by viewers and not yet confirmed by any wiki: a completion check mark appeared against the "Bottomless Buffet 101F+" entry at 2:17:59, and no floor 1001 followed. See the section below on what that does and does not settle. He has since retitled the archive "complete conquest", and Kotaku described the loadout on 08-21: an Ultra-grade Speed Tank running Torqscrew, Jump Bomb and Blast Boot. Whether 1000 is the LAST floor, what the clear pays, and which outlets have adopted the ending are on our Does the Buffet End page.
1000 (cleared)らんど (@landy_jp123)YouTube live (JP) · 2026-08-24Not publishedLive streamThe second documented clear, four days after the first, by the runner nobody was watching for it. He resumed from floor 998 at 00:22 JST on 2026-08-24 under a title that translates as "witness my arrival at floor 1000", and the broadcast window from /player runs 00:22:53 to 03:44:01 JST. Two viewers timestamp the finish independently and consistently: one marks the winning attempt at 3:12:18, the other the clear itself at 3:15:41, which lands at roughly 03:38 JST and leaves the broadcast ending five minutes later. Six of the eight comments on the archive congratulate a clear; one of them just says "you are number two". His climb is documented in resume floors exactly like every other row here, 952, 958, 967, two sessions from 992, then 998, across eleven days, and like 新月 and ur he is a competitive Salmon Run player, first place in the 13th of Nintendo's official team contests (バイトチームコンテスト). He had not published a weapon at the time of the clear, and on 2026-08-24 he uploaded a 5 minute 46 second edit of it titled 完全制覇, so the run no longer rests on its audience. Viewers of that upload describe a clear built on ring-outs rather than damage, which is a different method from the first clear and is covered on our Does the Buffet End page. WHAT THIS DOES NOT SETTLE: nobody has reported what his screen showed after the clear, in either direction. The second independent run that our Does the Buffet End page named as a settling condition has arrived without the thing that page actually asked it to bring.
1000 (cleared)urYouTube live (JP) · 2026-08-27Not publishedLive streamThe third documented clear, and the one this table watched the longest. He reached floor 998 on 08-23 and then broadcast from it four times without gaining a floor: 11h55m, 8h46m, 10h27m and 9h27m, which is 40 hours and 36 minutes on one floor and the longest stall this page has ever recorded. The fourth broadcast ended it. /player puts its window at 19:22 JST on 08-26 to 04:49 JST on 08-27, and a viewer timestamps the clear at 9:08:37, which lands at about 04:30 JST and leaves eighteen minutes of stream after it. Others in the same comments call it the third clear, and one of them works the stall out independently as more than forty hours at 998 alone, which is the figure our own arithmetic gives from the four broadcast lengths. Read the title carefully: his own edit, published 08-28, is called 1000階到達, reached floor 1000, where both earlier clears were titled 完全制覇, complete conquest. On this page 到達 has never meant cleared, because 新月 reached floor 1000 on the evening of 08-19 and did not clear it until the following midday. This row still says cleared because the evidence is the stream rather than the edit: the timestamped finish sits inside the broadcast window, and the people watching it live describe a clear rather than an arrival. He has not published a build.
986B2 (@b2_alice)YouTube live (JP) · 2026-09-06 JSTBlasterLive stream and first-party descriptionThe deepest documented run of any kind below the three clears, and the deepest with a named weapon. His broadcast from floor 986 opened at 16:00 JST on 09-06 and settles the previous archive, 7 hours 29 minutes 1 second from floor 977, at 986: nine floors. He keeps a list of Wave 3 defeats in his stream descriptions, and the 986 description adds a new one at the top of it, a loss to four Big-Stack Stingers at 2399 out of 2400. The floor-979 loss that this row was built on last pass is still in the list, one line down. The private floor-968 stream remains part of the earlier sequence but is no longer the source for this row.
962おまめブラスターchYouTube live (JP) · 2026-09-04Butane BlasterLive streamThe second-deepest documented blaster run, and still the only run above floor 940 whose author has written the build down instead of only streaming it. His 08-26 session, 11 hours 54 minutes 58 seconds from floor 950, was unsettled for eight days because everything he broadcast in between was Salmon Run. A 09-04 broadcast titled 962 settles it at twelve floors. That broadcast ran 2 hours 27 minutes 47 seconds and is itself unsettled, for the same reason: Salmon Run since. His build video is titled "easier than the High-Octane", a runner positioning his Butane Blaster against the High-Octane 4K charger that holds the 802 row further down this table.
958WispariaNYouTube (Finland, English) · 2026-09-05Not identified from the footage we checked; a build image is linked from the descriptionVideo, floors named in the titleStill the deepest run outside Japan, and the only climber anywhere who publishes explicit floor ranges instead of resume floors. The new upload is titled "Floors 941-958" and starts exactly where "Floors 923-940" stopped, so the two settle each other and neither waits on a third. Eighteen floors in eight days, after eighteen in the six days before. The description carries a build image and one sentence in his own words: "Getting close to Floor 1000! I’m now more consistent at clearing floors."
956Aoi Rin (りん, @rinsplatoon)YouTube live (JP) · 2026-09-05Not stated in her titles or descriptionsLive streamFound by keyword search rather than the channel list. Her archived streams open at 947 on 08-27, 953 on 09-01 and again on 09-04, and 956 on 09-05, with a floor-950 upload among them. The 09-05 title settles the 09-04 stream at three floors; the 09-05 stream ran 2 hours 55 minutes 16 seconds and is unsettled, because everything she has streamed since is Palworld. She is the first runner to use 有限食堂, the "finite dining hall" joke from the first clear stream, in her own titles. Her titles and descriptions do not name the weapon.
950みすとれいんYouTube live (JP) · 2026-09-04 JSTEngine RollerLive streamThis is the deepest documented roller run, 244 floors beyond the previous roller record at 706, and it has not moved since 09-04. Three consecutive broadcasts now open from floor 950 under the same title: 4 hours 31 minutes 9 seconds on 09-04, 3 hours 54 minutes 54 seconds on 09-05, and a third that was live during this sweep. The first two are settled at zero floors gained by the title of the one after them, which is 8 hours 26 minutes 3 seconds on a single floor. The same Engine Roller is named in every stream title.
914天下布武_織田Noob長YouTube live (JP) · 2026-09-03Primo High-Octane 4K, with a Clay-Pot Pow Slosher run from 908 to 911Live stream, full loadout published in the descriptionThree more floors since 08-27, and none since. The 911 session settled at 914 by the title of the next broadcast, and he has since opened three sessions from 914: 2 hours 31 minutes 16 seconds on 08-28 and 1 hour 48 minutes 58 seconds on 09-01, both settled at zero floors gained, and 3 hours 56 minutes 31 seconds on 09-03, which stays unsettled because he has not streamed Raiders since. Still the only runner at this depth who writes his whole loadout into the stream description instead of leaving it on screen, which makes this the one row here you can copy without reading footage. Three consecutive streams titled "the final battle for floor 900" on an Alpine Stringer, the third adding "third time lucky", and the next one resumes from 905 on a Primo High-Octane 4K; the title after that reads 908, so the charger took him three floors in a three hour session. That is 106 floors deeper than the 802 row further down this table, which was the deepest run anyone had attached to a High-Octane 4K. The 908 session ran a Clay-Pot Pow Slosher instead, and the title after it reads 911, so the Pow Slosher took him three floors before he went back to the High-Octane 4K to resume from 911. He published that Pow Slosher build as its own video on 08-25, so both of the weapons he has used at this depth are now written down rather than only streamed. The description is the part worth reading: a Speed Tank carrying Jump Bomb, Torqscrew and Dash Bomb, with イカロールアタック among his relic powers, a Squid Roll power that has no English name in any source we track. Two of those three gadgets are in the loadout Kotaku described for the first floor-1000 clear, and Torqscrew is a Tactical gadget sitting in a third slot on a Speed Tank, which is the exact Ultra-grade shape our Does the Buffet End page derived from that clear and had no runner to check it against. It checks now, ninety two floors short of the record, from someone who has never mentioned either clear.
900地方熊貓YouTube (Taiwan, Traditional Chinese) · 2026-08-27Blaster, model named only in the footageVideo, floor named in the titleThe deepest documented run from any Chinese-speaking community, past the 868 on bilibili that had held that spot since 08-15, and the first from Taiwan past floor 700. The upload is a build video rather than a run: its title asks which blaster is strongest, answers that it took him to floor 900, and promises the loadout, which is on screen and not in the description. It joins おまめ's Japanese build video as the second blaster loadout published by its own author from floor 900 or deeper; B2's, the deepest, was written up by a third party. Found by a Traditional Chinese keyword sweep, the first pass that returned anything past 700 from that market.
989urYouTube live (JP) · 2026-08-20Not publishedLive streamSuperseded by his own 998 row above, and still the clearest picture anyone has of what the floors below 1000 do to a run. His streams resumed from 971, 974, 980 and then 989 on consecutive days, which by the reading rule at the bottom of this page means the 08-19 stream ran from 980 to 989: nine floors, his fastest pace at this depth. He has since broadcast twice more, 8h35m ending on 08-20 and 7h01m overnight into 08-21, and both are titled "989~". The same reading rule settles the first of those at zero floors gained. The second is unsettled until his next title. His pace at this depth went from nine floors in a session to none in a session that ran longer, and he has not published a build.
950B2 (@b2_alice)YouTube live (JP) · 2026-08-20BlasterLive streamSuperseded by his own 962 row above. The most consistently documented climb on this table: 899, 914, 920, 923, 935, 946 and then 950, with the weapon named in every stream title. The 08-18 stream titled "from 946" is what settles the 946 row; this one is titled "from 950, the blaster frontier".
926みすとれいんYouTube live (JP) · 2026-08-20Engine RollerLive streamSuperseded by his own 929 row above, and still the row that does the most damage to the idea that this depth belongs to chargers. A small channel streaming the climb one session at a time with the weapon named in every title: 872, 878, 887, 890, 914, 917 and then 926 across seven broadcasts from 08-15 to 08-20. The earlier titles read "aiming for the Engine Roller's first floor 900", so the class first is the climber's own framing, not ours. Same stall as ur, one floor band lower: the 08-20 session resumed from 926 and the session after it is titled 926 as well, which settles it at zero floors gained in 6h18m. He was live again from 926 when we swept on 08-21.
995新月 (Shingetsu, @shingetsu0210)YouTube live (JP) · 2026-08-17 and 08-18Not publishedLive streamThe deepest position anyone has documented, and it arrived without an announcement. His last public upload before this was the floor-970 clip of 08-11; the next thing on the channel is a four-hour stream on 08-17 titled "995~", with "aiming for 1000" in the description. Floors 971 to 994 were climbed off-camera, as far as anyone outside the channel can tell. The 08-18 stream, another four hours, is also titled "995~". By the reading rule at the bottom of this page, the 08-18 title tells us where the 08-17 stream ended: 995. His next stream, on 08-19, is titled "998~", which settles this row: the 08-18 stream ran from 995 to 998. Two floors and two days later he cleared 1000.
980urYouTube live (JP) · 2026-08-18Not publishedLive streamHeld the record from 08-12 to 08-16 without anyone, including this page, noticing, and has kept climbing since: the 08-16 stream started at 971 and ran to 974, the 08-17 stream started at 974 and ran to 980, and the 08-18 stream started at 980 and ran to 989. Each of those end floors is read from the following stream's title, which is the only place they appear. Superseded by his own 989 row above.
970新月 (Shingetsu, @shingetsu0210)YouTube (JP) · 2026-08-11Not publishedVideo (54 s)Held the record from 08-11 until ur passed it on 08-12, and still the deepest single clip anyone has posted, titled "currently the world's deepest". A competitive Salmon Run player whose profile lists four first places in Nintendo's official team contests (バイトチームコンテスト). The clip shows the depth, not the climb. He wrote that he had "10 more sets" in him; the next public upload came six days later and started at 995.

Same player as the 902–904 row below, forty-odd floors deeper, and on stream rather than a screenshot. The 08-17 stream was titled "950 would be a good result" and the next title shows where it ended: 946. The 08-18 stream calls itself "the blaster frontier", and its description remarks that blaster builds have caught on. Superseded by his own 950 row above.
917–919urYouTube (JP) · 2026-08-06Not publishedVideoThis video was already public on the day we first published this page saying floor 900 was attested nowhere. 900WispariaNYouTube (Finland, English) · 2026-08-17Not identified from the footage we checkedVideo, plus the whole climb in earlier uploadsSuperseded by his own 922 row above, and still the first documented run outside Japan to reach 900. A 59-subscriber channel that has uploaded the climb as it happened, in explicit floor ranges: 600 on 08-01, 700 on 08-05, then 731–760, 773–799, 809–817, 818–838, 839–862, 863–880 on 08-13, and the floor-900 arrival screen on 08-17. Every title says solo, the game runs in English, and the description is one line: "It takes forever to reach floor 1000." We could not tell the weapon from the frames we checked, so the column stays empty rather than guessed. Nobody outside Japan is documenting a climb this carefully; the Japanese record holders publish resume floors, this channel publishes ranges.
868端点星好运bilibili (CN) · 2026-08-15Not named in the clipVideo (60 s)Was the deepest run outside Japan for two days, taking that spot from the 802 that had held it since 08-05 and losing it to WispariaN's 900 on 08-17. It also carries the most specific account of what actually stops a run at this depth: by the uploader's own description, a floor with a Slammin' Lid in it is basically impassable, and Strong-Arms can no longer be killed at all. He says he is "sealing it at 868" with 888 and 900 as the next targets. The clip does not name a weapon; his two previous Bottomless Buffet uploads, on 08-11 and 08-13, are both Butane Blaster showcases, which is a lead and not a confirmation.

800澤幸bilibili (CN) · 2026-08-08ChargerVideoThe same climber as the 700 row below, eight days later, and by his own account the end of the road: "probably can't push any further, stopping at 800."

As of 2026-09-06, the three floor-1000 clears and every documented run above 958 are from Japanese channels. WispariaN at 958 remains the deepest run outside Japan, and 地方熊貓 at 900 remains the deepest from a Chinese-speaking channel. B2 at 986 is the deepest blaster run and みすとれいん at 950 is the deepest roller run. No fourth floor-1000 clear appeared in the tracked channels or the six date-sorted keyword searches. Every YouTube watch URL in this page's Sources list was rechecked through oEmbed on 2026-09-06 and returned 200.

Floor 1000 Fell. What That Did to This Table

Floor 900 has stopped being remarkable. Three Japanese climbers are now well past it on video, and one of them has a timestamped record screen. On 2026-08-06 this page said the opposite, and it was wrong: a floor-917 video was already public. Our sweep covered bilibili, Bahamut, 5ch and Reddit but not the Japanese YouTube run channels, which is exactly where the frontier had moved. The lesson generalises: a depth record is only as current as the narrowest platform you forgot to check.

Floor 1000 has fallen. On 2026-08-20 the Japanese streamer 新月 cleared it on his third broadcast of attempts, at about 12:14 JST, and that is the first documented clear by anyone. The climb to it is on the same channel: 995 on 08-17, 998 on 08-18, floor 1000 reached on the evening of 08-19 but not cleared, then two more sessions of attempts. His own descriptions track the shift from climbing to grinding one floor, from "I drew a room where there is a chance of winning at floor 1000" to "racking up attempts". This page said on 08-11 that 1000 was days rather than hypothetical away, then watched that prediction fail for nine days before it came true. Both halves stay up, because a record page that only records the times it was right is not a record.

Whether floor 1000 is the LAST floor is a different question, on different evidence, and it now has its own page. Short version: the clear is documented, the ending is not. Everything pointing at 1000 being the bottom comes from viewers of that one stream describing a screen we have not seen, and the guide sites have split on it, and the two Japanese outlets that decline both edited their pages again on 08-24 without changing position. Our Does the Buffet End page carries the evidence table, the outlet-by-outlet split with last-updated dates, what the clear actually pays (nothing beyond the usual drops), and the loadout that got there. What belongs on this page is the effect on the table: 1000 is now a finish line rather than an open horizon, and the top of it has stopped being a race. ur reached 998 on 08-23 and titled a stream "aiming to be the second person to floor 1000"; らんど cleared it on 08-24, twenty-seven minutes after ur signed off that night. ur kept going back to the same floor for three more broadcasts and cleared it himself on 08-27. Three clears in eight days, and the third one took longer on floor 998 than the first runner took to climb from 995 to the finish.

How Do Deep Floors Differ From Floors 1–100?

The first two rows are wiki-confirmed (Game8 JP, updated 2026-08-06). Everything after that comes from the deep climbers themselves, consistent across independent reports but community evidence rather than wiki fact.

What changesWhat it means
Floor 91+: scripted openings, rising quotasWiki-confirmed: from floor 91 the opening spawns are fixed, and the Power Egg quota scales with depth: the first-floor quota rises from 2,100 to 2,400 at floor 91 and keeps climbing.
Past 100: random stages, per-build high scoreWiki-confirmed: stages go random and the game records your best floor separately for each build.
~Floor 500: one freeze stops one-shottingThe 700-floor charger climber 澤幸 puts the breakpoint here: past ~500, one freeze plus one Ice Breaker hit no longer kills, so the build goal shifts from landing a freeze to stacking freeze efficiency: more procs, faster cycles.
Refreezing the same Salmonid costs 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and caps at 16The one deep-floor mechanic that has been measured on video rather than reported by feel. A Japanese test channel (Tarotaro Archive, 2026-07-27) counted the freeze applications each successive freeze on the same target needs: 1, then 2, 4, 8, 16, then 16 again on the sixth and seventh, so 16 is the ceiling, not the start of a curve. Blast Boot and Jump Bomb freeze 100% of the time, which is what makes the count clean enough to trust. This measures a different axis from the older Bahamut report (Gaster918, floor 550) that a thawed Salmonid is briefly unfreezable and higher tiers stay immune longer, since one counts hits and the other counts seconds, but a doubling cost per refreeze is a plausible mechanical basis for what that player was feeling. The build consequence is the same either way: cycle targets, never re-freeze one.
700+: a damage ceiling, but not a charger-only oneCorrection, 2026-08-14. This row used to say that only charger-class single hits keep up past 700. That was wrong, and it was already wrong when we published it: a Stringer had cleared 800–802 and an Engine Roller had reached 700, both public on bilibili three days earlier. What survives is the weaker claim: something in the build has to land a big single hit. ilovemath's brella fell off at 700 and the replacement freeze charger reportedly hits for 5,000,000 a shot, so chargers are the most common answer at this depth. They are not the only one.
Wall floors: doubled heavy spawnsThe runs that end tend to end on layouts spawning two heavy hitters at once. totomate's 700 run died to a double Strong-Arms floor, and double Stinger layouts are reported the same way.
Freeze is also crowd control, and physicsDeep climbers use freeze as a hard stun that interrupts attack wind-ups, and the floor-650 leg of ilovemath's climb to 700 reports shoving frozen heavy Salmonids off the map with a roller. A companion video from a 700-floor climber herds spawns toward the frozen patch (the "ice flower", in the video's own words) and kills them clustered.

What Do the Deepest Climbers Actually Run?

Read the record table's weapon column top to bottom and a progression falls out. Early community reports held that freeze "fades around floor 300+ in favour of Ferment", but the deeper evidence now available supersedes that: freeze does not die, it hybridizes and demands efficiency stacking. Three stages:

  1. Floors 100–500: the standard freeze meta, unchanged

The same Ice Breaker freeze builds from our builds guide carry this whole band. Nothing needs to change, and the traffic runs the other way: at floor 500 the dualies player 艾力克斯LX switched INTO freeze, not out of it.

  2. ≈500–700: freeze-efficiency stacking plus hybrid damage

Once one freeze stops one-shotting, climbers stack freeze uptime and add damage layers that do not care about enemy HP scaling: Explosive Ferment remains the number-two damage pillar; Scorch's damage-over-time ticks are fixed (community figure ~6,000 per tick, stacking to 3), so they never fall off; and one Bahamut climber runs the Risky Reward pinch build: by that thread's own math, +140% weapon damage against a 68% penalty nets out around +72%, at the cost of living permanently in danger state.

  3. 700+: big single hits, and no longer chargers only

Brella-class multi-pellet hits stop being enough (ilovemath's own words at 700), and freeze chargers reportedly land 5,000,000 per shot, so a charger is the default answer in this band, and the 802 record, a High-Octane 4K, fits it exactly. What is dead is "charger or nothing": 啦一啦一啦 cleared 800–802 on a stringer and kept it even after pulling a 4K, and WaterStone_Y took an Engine Roller from 600 to 700. The real requirement is a weapon that can put one large hit into the single shot a freeze buys you. Three weapon classes now do that past 700.

  4. 900+: the only published frontier build, Scorch on a blaster

B2's floor-902 run is the first published deep build that is neither a charger nor a freeze build. It is a Blaster stacking Scorch (炙り), whose damage-over-time ticks are a flat multiple of your attack stat rather than a multiplier on enemy HP, which is precisely why they keep working when everything scaled to HP has fallen off. Game8 puts a full Scorch stack at 5,801 damage, close enough to the ~6,000-per-tick figure the deep community was already circulating that the two are almost certainly the same number measured twice. The full archetype is in our Scorch build guide.

The Reproducible Baseline: Game8's Published Deep-Run Builds

The record holders above did not publish their own builds, but in the second week of August other Japanese creators started publishing breakdowns of them, which is genuinely new. The channel スリュー posted a breakdown of 新月's deep loadout on 2026-08-07 and of B2's floor-900 Scorch blaster on 2026-08-12, the latter framed as the first floor-900 build that does not need a charger; Tarotaro's 700+ "floating freeze-ferment" explainer is the most-watched deep-floor build video we have found anywhere. We list these as leads rather than reproduce their slot lists: each is one creator's reading of another player's build, and we have not been able to check any of them against a record screen. The citable baseline is still Game8 JP: their staff verified a Tactical gadget build to floor 160, covered in our builds guide, and the same page now publishes two recommended deep-run freeze builds, shown below (updated 2026-08-06). They are the floor-160-verified team's current recommendations, not themselves attested to a stated floor, but every slot is in print. Two relic names below have no published English name, so we keep the Japanese rather than invent one:

Melee freeze

Weapon & powers
Blaster, Ice Breaker + Close Combat + Ink Pro
Gadgets
Blast Boot + Flywire + Jump Bomb
Relic Powers
Gadget Recovery (Fly) + Gadget Recovery (Submerge) + Concentrated Attack + Gadget Recovery (Speed) + Power Master

The freeze-gadget core (Blast Boot) with three Gadget Recovery variants keeping the rotation up, the same logic as our endgame builds tuned for depth.

Ranged freeze

Weapon & powers
Primo Alpine Stringer, Ice Breaker + Freeze + Long Range
Gadgets
Blast Boot + Torqscrew + Jump Bomb
Relic Powers
Gadget Recovery (Fly) + デカイクラ収集家 + Concentrated Attack + Gadget Recovery (Speed) + オールセット

Slots Freeze on the weapon itself alongside Ice Breaker; the stringer's multi-hit volleys proc it. デカイクラ収集家 and オールセット have no English name in any source we track; we print the Japanese rather than guess.

Partner pick: deep climbers reorder the podium. Our base guide recommends Big Man for the climb to 100, and that advice stands there, but past it the deep community ranks Frye first (instant AoE, no cast time), then Shiver (a two-second cast, but her freeze combined with an Ice Breaker hit one-shots most non-giant bosses), with Big Man third as the invincibility panic button. Not a contradiction, but a reordering as depth changes what kills you.

Do You Have to Play Freeze?

No. B2 has taken a Scorch blaster to floor 986, after first publishing a floor-902 record screen with that build. おまめブラスターch is at 962 with a Butane Blaster and has published that build in full. YoanQ cleared 800 with a blaster after stating that dualies could not progress further, and another bilibili uploader cleared 700 with a Butane Blaster. みすとれいん has reached floor 950 with an Engine Roller and names the weapon in every stream title. Only one documented run with a named weapon is deeper than the two blasters: the first floor-1000 clear, whose charger was identified by an outlet that reviewed the footage. Below roughly floor 500, the standard endgame builds still work without deep-floor changes.

What freeze buys at depth is also more than the damage multiplier: it is the game's only hard crowd control, stopping attack wind-ups mid-animation, and it enables physics plays like roller-shoving frozen heavies off the map. That is why it hybridizes instead of dying: even when one frozen hit stops one-shotting, freeze remains the thing that keeps you alive long enough to apply everything else.

Deep Floors FAQ

What is the deepest floor anyone has reached in the Bottomless Buffet?

Floor 1000. As of 2026-09-06, three Japanese runners have cleared it: 新月 (@shingetsu0210) on 2026-08-20, らんど on 08-24 and ur on 08-27. The deepest active positions below them are B2 at 986 with a Blaster, おまめブラスターch at 962 with another, Aoi Rin at 956 and みすとれいん at 950. WispariaN at 958 is the deepest documented run outside Japan. All records are community-reported; no official leaderboard exists.

Has anyone reached floor 1000?

Yes. As of 2026-09-06, three runners have cleared floor 1000: 新月 on 2026-08-20, らんど on 08-24 and ur on 08-27. 新月 reached the floor on the evening of 08-19 and cleared it the following midday, on his third stream of attempts. ur cleared it after four broadcasts and 40 hours 36 minutes spent on floor 998.

Does the Bottomless Buffet have a final floor?

It appears to be floor 1000, but it is not confirmed. Viewers of the first clear stream report a completion check mark against the "Bottomless Buffet 101F+" entry and no floor 1001. Nobody has published that post-clear screen. 攻略大百科 and GameWith state that 1000 is the end. Game8 Japan edited its guide again on 2026-09-06, the seventh time since the first clear, and still does not state a cap; the number 1000 appears zero times on the page. Nintendo has not published a floor count and no datamine has established one.

What build should I copy for a deep climb?

Two answers now. For a freeze climb, start from Game8's two published deep-run builds, the only freeze builds fully in print, from the wiki team that verified its Tactical build to floor 160. Ride the standard freeze meta to ~500, then stack freeze efficiency and hybrid damage as one-freeze-one-kill stops working. For the deeper alternative, copy a blaster. B2's Scorch blaster went deepest, and Scorch's fixed damage ticks are the reason it keeps scaling; おまめ published his own Butane Blaster build from floor 900, and a Taiwanese runner published a blaster build from 900 on 08-27. Since 08-25 there is a third answer: two Japanese channels have published full Clay-Pot Pow Slosher loadouts for floors past 900, itemised on our slosher builds page. What you should not do is assume you need a charger to pass 700: a stringer and an Engine Roller both got there without one. Either way, expect the frontier to keep moving under you.

Method: a four-community sweep, first on 2026-08-06 and re-run on 2026-08-11, 08-14, 08-15, 08-16, 08-18, 08-20, 08-21, 08-23, 08-26, 08-28, 09-02, 09-04 and 09-06: Japanese YouTube run channels and X, bilibili video listings, the Bahamut climb thread, 5ch matome blogs, Game8 JP/EN, and the Reddit report as relayed by allthings.how and Pocket Tactics. The 08-14 pass changed one thing about the method: community video platforms are now read sorted by publish date, not by relevance. Sorting by relevance is what hid the bilibili stringer and Engine Roller runs from the 08-11 sweep, because relevance ranks on play count and a two-day-old upload has none. The 08-15 pass changed one more thing: the Japanese run channels are now read through their RSS feeds rather than YouTube search, because search does not reliably honour its own date-sort parameter and the channel video pages rate-limit to an error shell. That is what surfaced ur's floor-968 stream and B2's climb to 923, both of which the 08-14 pass missed. We also rejected one apparent floor-800/848 roller run: "Dynamo" is not a weapon in this game, our roster has six rollers and none of them is that, and the uploader's own description tags the videos as Splatoon 3, so the weapon cannot be established from the metadata. Every record is community-reported and labeled per row (video / live stream / in-game screenshot / screenshots + text / text claim / secondhand / firsthand wiki write-up); none are rounded up, and players are credited by their public handles. YouTube dates are derived from the platform's relative timestamps read on 2026-08-11, so they carry about a day of slack; the X and in-game screenshot timestamps are exact. Proper nouns are checked against our own weapon, power, gadget, relic and Salmonid databases; デカイクラ収集家 and オールセット have no published English names, so the Japanese stands. The 2026-08-16 pass changed the method once more, and this one caught an error of ours. Japanese climb streams are titled with the floor the stream starts from, written as "971~". That is a resume marker, not an achievement, so the floor a stream actually reached is only revealed by the next stream's starting number. We had been recording those markers as results, which is how this page came to list ur at 968 when the stream in question had gone to 971, and at 959–960 when it had gone to 968. The rule now is that an open-ended "N~" title is read as "at least N", and the row is only settled once the following upload appears. Explicit ranges in a title, such as 917〜919, are unaffected. The 2026-08-18 pass added two things. A fourth channel joined the RSS list, WispariaN (UC92o3lVDl141jGsAii87uhg), the first non-Japanese channel on it, found through an English YouTube keyword sweep rather than through the record channels. And bilibili was re-read by publish date on 无限食堂, which turned up nothing newer than 08-16 before the platform rate-limited us, so the CN side of this pass is one keyword deep. The record moved 168 floors in the six days before 2026-08-11, one floor in the five days after, and then 24 floors in a single jump that nobody streamed; all three are reported here, because a table that only gets edited when the number rises is not a record of anything. The 2026-08-21 pass ran the four tracked channels plus five keyword sweeps in Japanese and English, and it is the pass that found this table's deepest roller. みすとれいん at floor 926 was invisible to the channel list, because he is not on it; a keyword sweep is what surfaces the runners nobody is tracking yet, and the channel list is what confirms the ones we are. Two negatives from the same pass are worth stating, because a sweep that only reports what it found is half a sweep. There was no second clear of floor 1000 on any platform we read, and that held until 2026-08-24, when it stopped holding: see the らんど row above. A negative about a moving frontier is only worth writing down with the date it was true attached. And 有限食堂, which we described on 08-20 as a community rename, returns no hits in a week of Japanese YouTube titles, none in an exact-phrase web search, and none on any Japanese guide site we opened; the sweeps that returned nothing for it returned twenty unrelated results rather than an error, so that is a real absence and not a broken query. It was a joke in a stream chat, and on 08-25 it turned up again in the comments under the second clear, so it recurs. It still produces no video titles, no exact-phrase search hits and no guide-site usage. A joke that keeps coming back is still not a rename, and we have narrowed the wording everywhere it appeared. The 2026-08-24 pass found the second clear that the 08-21 negative had ruled out, and did not find it on the tracked channels: らんど is a fifth channel nobody was watching, surfaced by keyword sweep, which is the second time in four days the keyword pass has beaten the channel list. 有限食堂 still returns nothing, so that absence has now held across two sweeps. Reddit is the one route we could not read at all: every path returns a 403 or a script shell, so the r/splatoon thread that Pocket Tactics cites for the floor cap is unread rather than empty, and we do not count it either way. The 2026-08-25 pass added らんど to the tracked channels, where he should have been already, and found the day's real movement one band below the record: おまめブラスターch went 917 to 929 to 944 in two days, and みすとれいん to 932. Neither is on the channel list either, so that is three sweeps running in which the keyword pass found what the channel list could not. The same pass settled ur's stall, because his next title finally appeared and it reads 998 again. The 09-02 pass added a Traditional Chinese keyword sweep, which found the Taiwan blaster row, and recorded two method notes. First, a row's evidence can disappear after we publish it: B2's 968 stream, public on 08-26, returned 403 on 09-02, so the row keeps the number we read ourselves and its evidence label now says so. Second, YouTube search read with a Japanese Accept-Language header returns machine-translated Japanese titles for English videos; a title is quoted here only after being re-read from the player. The 2026-09-04 pass checked ten tracked channels, two guide channels and six date-sorted keyword searches. It also checked all 42 YouTube watch URLs in this page's Sources list through oEmbed; all returned 200. The 2026-09-06 pass ran the same sweep and moved four rows. It also turned the link check into a script rather than a one-off, vault/scripts/link_check.py, after the first version reported ur's live channel as dead: oEmbed does not cover channel URLs and 404s on every one of them, so channel and handle links now get a plain fetch instead. All 52 YouTube watch URLs cited here returned 200.
