All Items and Materials in Splatoon Raiders

What drops what, where to farm it, and exactly how much the whole facility tree costs.

What Are Materials For in Splatoon Raiders?

Almost everything you build in Raiders is paid for twice: once in Spirhalite Shards, the generic currency, and once in a specific Salmonid part. Shards you get everywhere. The parts only drop from one large Salmonid each, which is what turns crafting into a hunting list: when a blueprint is greyed out, it is telling you which boss to go find.

There are 17 entries in the catalogue: two currencies and fifteen Salmonid drops. That is the whole economy. Power Eggs are counted separately and feed tank upgrades rather than construction.

  • Spirhalite Shards: the bulk currency. Every dungeon clear, crystal and chest pays some out. This is what weapon upgrading eats.
  • Spirhalite Gems: the rare currency. Treasure chests and large Salmonids only; you need eleven across the whole facility tree.
  • Salmonid materials: fifteen parts, one per large Salmonid, named after the Salmonid that drops it.
  • Power Eggs: not construction material. They go to tank upgrades, which is a separate track.

All 17 Items and Materials

Each material is named after its source, which makes the list self-documenting once you know the Salmonid names. Farming spots below are the ones our English and Japanese sources each recommend, and where they name different dungeons, both are listed, because both work.

Flipper-Flopper's Eye LightダイバーのアイライトFlipper-Flopper
Strong-Arms's TongsウデジマンのトングStrong-Arms

Strong-Arms and Flipper-Flopper are late additions to the list; their parts are only spent on the two post-game facilities, and neither of our sources publishes a farming route for Strong-Arms yet.

One correction to the English source: Game8 English lists both "Maw's Bobbler" (from Maws) and "Maws's Bobber" (from Big-Haul Maws) as separate materials, which would make 18. The Japanese list has exactly one Maws material, モグラのウキ, and spends it on Parts Upgrading, the same slot the English table fills with "Maws's Bobber". They are one item listed twice. We show 17.

How Do You Know Which Salmonid Drops What?

You do not have to memorise it. Every material carries its source in the name: Steelhead's Tire comes from Steelhead, Flyfish's Bin comes from Flyfish. The rule holds for all fifteen with no exceptions, in both languages.

So the practical skill is not learning a drop table; it is learning which dungeons spawn which large Salmonids. Open the workshop, read which part a blueprint is missing, and the name tells you what to hunt. The table above turns that into a dungeon.

What Do Hideout Ship Facilities Cost?

Nine facilities, and they are the main reason to farm at all. Four are available from the start, three unlock at Hideout Ship level 2, and two only appear after you finish the story. Level 3 is the cap.

Hideout Ship levels are listed here as facilities because that is how the game bills them: they sit in the same Ship Construction menu and compete for the same materials.

The Whole Facility Tree, Totalled

Add all nine rows together and the complete build-out costs 37,500 Spirhalite Shards, 11 Spirhalite Gems, and 13 different Salmonid parts. That total is worth knowing early, because it is distributed very unevenly.

The seven facilities you can reach during the story cost 7,500 shards between them, a few evenings of normal play. The two post-game facilities cost 30,000, which is 80% of the entire bill. Nothing in the campaign prepares you for that step, and it is the reason the post-game suddenly feels like a grind.

  • Biggest single material demand: Salivator's Plastic Bag, 20 across two facilities. Start banking it early.
  • Strong-Arms's Tongs x10 and Salty Tongue's Bucket x10 are next. Everything else is 5 or fewer.
  • Big Shot's Spring and Fish Stick's Drill Bit are not used by any facility at all; they are gadget-blueprint materials, so do not hoard them for construction.
  • Eleven gems is the real bottleneck for a completionist run, not shards. Gems only come from chests and large Salmonids.

Where Should You Farm?

The right dungeon changes with your level, and running a late-game spot too early just means slow clears. These are the spots each source converges on, in the order you can actually use them:

DungeonWhenWhy it works
Temprah Den (Ferdi Island)Early gameLevels 12–25. One spawn point, so everything funnels to you.
Taytur RocksEarly gameShard mining at Salmonid Level 16: crystals plus enemies.
Stroborro Den (Zeefer Island)Mid gameSalmonid Level 25, clearable around player level 20. Small arena, four spawns; hold the centre.
Choclet Iceberg (Zeefer Island)Mid gameSix minor crystals close together and anomaly waves next to the major crystal.
Krosont Den (Rebda Island)Late gameSalmonid Level 32, almost all Maws. Stand centre and wait for them to surface.
Baygull BeachLate gameSalmonid Level 35. Minor crystals sit close to the major one, so laps are short.
Awlmun DenPost-gameAbout 25 seconds a clear on a Speed tank. The post-game route for 5-star weapons, parts and materials.

Awlmun Den is the one worth building toward. A 25-second clear turns every reward table in the game into a slot machine you can pull continuously: 5-star weapons, gadget parts and Salmonid materials all at once.

A Farming Route That Actually Works

Farming a specific material and farming in general are different jobs. Do them in this order and you stop wasting runs:

  1. Open Ship Construction and read what is actually blocking you. Usually it is one material, not four.
  2. Find that material in the table above and go to its Salmonid's nest, so a targeted den run yields roughly ten of one part per lap, versus a scatter of everything on a general run.
  3. Bank Spirhalite Gems whenever a chest offers one. They gate more facilities than any single part and cannot be farmed on demand.
  4. Once you can clear Awlmun Den quickly, stop targeted farming. General laps there outpace targeted runs for everything except a material you need right now.
  5. Do not upgrade weapons below 5 stars. Shards spent on a 3-star weapon are gone, and the facility tree needs 37,500 of them.

How Do You Farm Spirhalite Shards?

Shards come from crystals rather than kills, so the best shard dungeons are the ones with dense crystal layouts and short laps, a different list from the Salmonid dens.

  • Taytur Rocks (Salmonid Level 16) for the early to mid game: multiple crystals and enemies together.
  • Choclet Iceberg on Zeefer Island for the mid game: six minor crystals clustered close, with anomaly waves next to the major crystal.
  • Baygull Beach (Salmonid Level 35) for the late game: minor crystals sit near the major one, so laps stay short once crystals regenerate.
  • Crystals regenerate, so circling one dungeon beats hopping between several.

Endgame & Post-Game

Common Material Mistakes

Most of the pain in this economy comes from spending, not from farming rates:

  • Upgrading weapons before 5 stars. This is the single most expensive habit in the game: you will replace the weapon and the shards do not come back.
  • Hoarding gems for nothing. Eleven is the total the facility tree ever asks for; past that they are just inventory.
  • Farming a general dungeon when you need one part. Targeted den runs are several times faster for a specific material.
  • Assuming post-game costs scale like campaign costs. They jump roughly fourfold, so plan the last two facilities as a project, not a purchase.
